Today I was just minding my own business when an email pinged through. At first I thought it was the usual platform update or promo, but then I looked again. I’d actually won the Clips4Sale July 2025 – 10K Summer Giveaway — and with it came a $1,000 prize.
I’ve made some coin from clip sales and subs across the different sites I’m on, and that in itself has been decent progress. But this win just blew everything else out of the water. To be honest, I didn’t even realise I was in the running. I was simply uploading and keeping the content consistent. Next thing I know, I’m being told I’ve landed a grand for doing exactly what I was already doing.
That’s the mad thing about putting yourself out there. Most of the time it’s about steady graft, clip after clip, building up a library and an audience. Then sometimes the unexpected happens. One email changes the picture and suddenly you’re sitting there grinning at your screen, and wondering how the hell that just happened.
This one will stick with me for a long time. Not because it’s a huge windfall in the bigger picture, but because it shows how unpredictable the ride can be. A bit of luck on top of the work, and suddenly you’ve got a story to tell.
